This is our final music video: Biffy Clyro - Machines
Note: Watch in atleast 720p for best viewing
Editing
This is us editing the video, this particular picture was taken during the final stages (touching up some rough edges)
Set Designs
When
we planned our music video we decided that it would be a good idea to
design our set with newspaper covering the walls, This would emphasise
the rough life style the character lives in.
We had two different different ideas of representing these ideas which were setting up the newspapers in a different way.
Example A
This
example of the wall's show the masking tape and would connote a messy
and rushed look about the set design, this would fit in with the type of
life the character lives in this music video.
Example B
This
is the second design of the set, this one will not show any of the tape
used to hold the newspaper up against the walls but looks a lot better
than the first option and visually will look great in the music video,
this is the one the group prefers more.
Set Preparation
This
was a time lapse of the start of the set design with took longer than
anticipated, unfortunately i wasn't there to help due to transport
issues as i could not get home if i stayed that day
Mise-en-scene
This is the updated prop and outfit example. As a group we decided to use clothing choice number 3 (a black suit) as the outfit for our protagonist within the music video. We felt the suit would set the mood and also contrast nicely with the black and white newspapers we have located in the main set. We will be using beer bottles cardboard and other items to decorate our set.

Prop/equipment/software list
This
is our Prop list, we will be using each of the equipment throughout our
creation of the video and also the programs and editing software will
be used during the post-production stages and the final enhancements.
Personally,
I will be looking forward to editing with Sony Vegas 10.0 as i have it
and have used it at home and i quite enjoy using it.
Location
Due
to unpredictable weather this time of year, as a group we decided not
to have many shots outside, only the flashbacks, when the weather was
good. We decided this because
lighting would be different depending on the weather and it was very
cloudy and rainy. The picture you
see above has been taken outside one of our sheds, which will be the
location
where most of the music video will be filmed.
Our first Vlog
This is our first video blog and during the filming we are brainstorming and sharing ideas
